Mikhail Falkovich spent the last 8 years as the CISO of Con Edison, protecting NYC's power, gas, and steam systems as well as customer and company information - Con Edison was recognized by Forbes as one of 'America's Most Cybersecure Companies' in 2023. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in the utility industry, Critical Infrastructure Protection, OT Security, Network Architecture, and collective defense. He has held various leadership roles in the electricity sector, including at Con Edison and PSEG. Mikhail has led trusted circles within and across industries, worked to enhance public/private cybersecurity partnerships, and supported the development of cybersecurity standards and regulations throughout his career. Mikhail recently joined Microsoft as a Customer Security Officer (CSO) to support security needs of small, medium, and corporate customers (inclusive of critical infrastructure entities). He looks to continue building trust and benchmarking circles and creating collective defense efforts to lift the security posture across the nation. Mikhail holds a Bachelors and Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and has received the inaugural Electricity Security Service Award in honor of Michael J. Assante from the EISAC. He currently serves on the board of NYM Infragard. In 2024, Mikhail was recognized as one of the Top 100 CISOs award recipients by CISOs Connect.
